Thanks to recent advances in coatings and application techniques, Universal Coatings is now able to provide beautiful coatings that can be applied year-round to almost any concrete floor in just one day. Compared to Epoxies and Urethanes, Polyaspartic-Polyurea has far superior durability and performance characteristics.

Application Process:

Step 1

In order to remove minor pits, blemishes, stains or light coatings, the process begins by preparing the floor with the use of a coarse diamond concrete grinder. The floor is then vacuumed with HEPA Filtration to remove any remaining dust and debris.

Step 2

A base coat is roll applied and decorative chip is broadcast into the base coat and allowed to cure.

Step 3

After only 45 minutes the floor is scraped in both directions to ensure a flat, uniform appearance. A clear coat is roll applied to finish the system. Polyaspartic-Polyurea is fast curing, allowing multiple coats to be applied in a short amount of time. The result is a one-day application, ready for foot traffic in only 2 hours and vehicle traffic in 24 hours.
